Changing your server's chat message format looks cool and professional. Let's learn how to do it.

You will need:

A minecraft server with Aquatis
Essentials
EssentialsChat

Step 1

Login to Multicraft.

Step 2

Navigate to Files --> Config FIles


Step 3

Find your Essentials config.yml file

Step 4

Scroll down until you find this line of text:

To do this, find the line that says the following:

format: '<{DISPLAYNAME}> {MESSAGE}'

Step 7

Change this line to say

format: '{DISPLAYNAME} &7>> &f{MESSAGE}'

Save your changes.
